I had been single for a decade. “If it happens, it happens” I thought about relationships. I rarely did any work on myself to be a better partner. I delve into how I held relationships to a lower standard than other aspects of my life. I expose my behaviors that stymied relationships. I finally articulate what it is that I was looking for. What the root cause of my fear of settling down was. And why it was still so hard to change even once I knew all these things.

Setting goals is motivating, but it’s arbitrary. Self-reflection can help determine why we do the things we do. But it can lead to analysis paralysis. I discuss my own experience with goal setting and self-reflection, their benefits and shortcomings and if there is a right to for each.

Walking on fire. 15,000 people energized for 12 hours straight for 4 days in a row. This was something! I’m usually cynical when it comes to these self-help seminars, but UPW was worthwhile. I delve into peak state, six human needs, decisions I made and replacing limiting beliefs with empowering ones.
Reflections from 10-day silent meditation retreat
For 10 full days I sat in silence. Not a word was spoken. I meditated for 11 hours a day. It was the hardest physical and psychological thing I’ve lived through. At times infuriating but I walked away fulfilled. I share the challenges of my Vipassana experience, the theory and lessons I discovered.
